SDA Creative

where ideas
come to life

We’ve been pushing out some amazing design here at SDA Creative, partnering with MacGillivry Freeman Films in Laguna Beach. SDA was tapped to help produce visually compelling promotional materials for a couple of their latest documentary films.

“MacGillivray Freeman has shot more than 45 giant-screen films in some of the most exotic and challenging locations on Earth. They remain committed to using the best tools to capture the highest quality images, and continue to make film experiences that go beyond the technology of our time.”

Recently SDA designed and printed Standee’s for Mac Free. What’s a standee you ask? By definition, a standee is a life-size shape, for instance of a celebrity, cut out of cardboard, often used for advertising and promotional purposes inside theaters. To promote Mac Free’s latest film, Into America’s Wild,  SDA’s Creative Director, Mark Hancock designed and produced this 8′ tall standee:

And yes, that’s Mark Samuels, SDA Creative’s President, sharing this fun project and giving some perspective on the size of these pieces. These are displayed in theaters all across the country where the movie is screening . We just shipped a couple of these new standees to the Smithsonian Museum in DC! Fun times…
